A Dream of Jianghu: Ninefold Springtime

Feng Xiaoxiao is roaming the martial world when she runs into He Wenxu, a swordsman who keeps his clothes immaculate and does everything with such meticulous seriousness that he is almost inhumanly cold.

The two get caught up in a case involving the disappearance of boys and girls. Caught off guard, they are drugged by villains and spend one night together.

Later...

"He! Wen! Xu! Stop following me!" Feng Xiaoxiao warns him for what feels like the umpteenth time.

"But I have to take responsibility for you. Let's get married." This is He Wenxu's umpteenth reply, though his icy expression is completely at odds with his words.

"...I really don't need you to take responsibility for me. It's over, so let's leave it at that, okay?" Feng Xiaoxiao is furious. "It was your first time, and it was my first time too. You're good-looking, and I'm not bad-looking either. So we're even, all right?"

"No!" He Wenxu's resolve is unshakable. "I want to marry you."

"But I don't want to marry you!" Feng Xiaoxiao cries in exasperation. "Why are you so stubborn?"

Later still...

He Wenxu: "Feng Xiaoxiao, don't look at other men. You can only look at me. You said you liked my face. Besides, just last night you told me you were... very satisfied with me."

Theme: No matter how straight-laced a man is, when he meets the woman he likes, he'll drop his pride and awkwardly, fervently ask for her affection.
