Taking You Home

Yuri

After Yun Qing has a fierce argument with her parents, she boards the fastest train out and arrives in Hongcheng.

Dragging her suitcase, she walks through a strange city where she has no friends or family. Lost and at a loss, she posts on her social media: [Anyone in Hongcheng?]

She expects the post to go unanswered, but gets an unexpected reply.

Ning Shuhua: "I am."

This is a memory only Yun Qing knows about. Back when they were in school, she had a secret crush on the girl who once saved her.

Like a hero, she stood in front of Yun Qing and offered her the only helping hand she had.

After all these years, that name, long since faded into the background, becomes clear in Yun Qing's heart once more.

Ning Shuhua messages Yun Qing privately: [Are you coming to Hongcheng?]

Yun Qing carefully types back: [I'm already here. This might be a bit presumptuous, but could I stay with you for a few days?]

Ning Shuhua: [Sure. Where are you? I'm out right now, so I can give you a ride while I'm at it.]

Yun Qing suppresses the rush of emotions that rises in her heart, ignoring the way it starts pounding again because of Ning Shuhua. She only replies: [Okay]
