In His Gentle Palm [Campus]

The first time Xia Enru met Gu Yunying, she had just moved to a new city because of her father's job.

Winter had only just ended. She caught the scent of spring on the air, and tender buds were sprouting between the branches. Completely by surprise, she saw him beneath a tree.

A bright-eyed boy crouched under the tree, sunlight resting gently in his hair.

He smiled as he lowered his eyes and scratched a kitten under its chin. The kitten's tail swished back and forth.

The next time Xia Enru met Gu Yunying was after she transferred schools.

She followed her homeroom teacher to his side. He was reading with his left hand propping up his chin, his fingers brushing across the sunlit page. His fingertips seemed to glow in the light.

"Class monitor," the teacher called.

At the sound of her voice, he looked up and quietly turned his gaze on Xia Enru.

Her palms were sweating with nerves. "H-hello! I'm Xia Enru, the new transfer student!"

He smiled gently at her nervousness, then held out his hand. "Hello, Xia Enru. I'm your class monitor."

His hand was long-fingered, fair, and clean in the sunlight.

For the first time, she held his gentle palm.

School life first, city life later.

Coming soon: Snowlight

Ji Peng fell for someone. She fell for Jiang Jinxue.

Like a poor girl made of mud on the ground, she fell for snow on a branch, impossibly far out of reach.

Jiang Jinxue was nothing like his aloof-sounding name. In fact, he was rebellious.

Unlike the well-behaved crowd, his unconventional, independent ways always drew attention. He was like the center of the earth, with boys and girls always gathered around him.

Ji Peng was invisible in her class, and even more invisible in the world.

She had no nagging parents and no friends to go to the bathroom with. She had no money, either, and wore her old school uniform even on holidays.

She grew up like a weed. No one had ever cared about her or taught her anything.

Until that boy reached out to her. His gaze swept over the group of thugs from another school who had been manhandling her, and he said with a cold expression, "I didn't know people had started daring to bully students from our class!"

He took her hand.

She hid her feelings with the utmost care.

Mud on the ground wasn't worthy of loving snow on a branch. She had to stay quiet... and keep it secret...

Until spring came.

The mud was covered in flowers, and the snow... melted.
