In countless stories where good is rewarded and evil punished, some endings are less than perfect. Long before the villains are brought down, they have already sent their families into positions of privilege. Even if the villains themselves face justice, their families remain untouched.
The falsely substituted young master, the human trafficker's biological son, the university student who stole someone else's grades, the dutiful son from a family that favors boys over girls... They are "clean" and "innocent." They are merely beneficiaries, a thorn in the victims' sides that the victims have no way to remove.
Shang Chen's mission is to take the place of these "innocent" beneficiaries and make the choices they ought to make.
In the first world, the false young master signs an agreement voluntarily relinquishing all the family property, then reports every crime committed by his biological parents under his real name!
In the second world, he gathers evidence against his human-trafficking parents, finds the women and children they sold, and sends his parents to prison!
In the third world, the younger brother in a family that favors boys over girls earns money to put his sister through school and helps her escape their parents' clutches!
The fourth world, the fifth world...
Content warnings:
1. The story mainly takes place in modern settings, though there may also be ancient or other settings. The main plot is about making "beneficiaries" give up what they never should have received.
2. The protagonist takes the place of the "beneficiaries" and strikes at the smug villains, destroying the achievements they are proudest of.
3. The author does not agree that beneficiaries are innocent. Even if they should not be punished by association, they must still repay what they had no right to receive. Readers who disagree are free to leave.
4. There will be romance, but the protagonist will not use the bodies of the people he punishes.
