When I was eleven, I witnessed the fall of my country and the ruin of my family with my own eyes. My imperial mother set herself on fire in Fengqi Palace, while her consorts and lovers either died or fled.
In the chaos, the guards escorted me out of the palace. I could only watch as my father died beneath the rebels' blades.
“Ling Shi,” my father said to me for the last time. “You have to live.”
“Live, and take everything back.”
And so, at the age of twenty-six, I defeated all my opponents, unified a land left devastated by years of warfare, and stood above all others to found a dynasty of my own.
This is
my sin.
--------------------Warnings--------------------
1. This is a fanfic based on the game Her Majesty's Daily Life. I was too lazy to come up with new names, so I reused the game's names. The other games from the same studio are great and super addictive too, go try them!!!! Also, the protagonist is an empress. Her characterization reflects my personal headcanons, so some of her views may seem rather cold or extreme, though overall she should still be a good person (...).
2. The early chapters mainly cover the empress's founding campaign. The plot and most characters are original, and I've added a lot of personal headcanons to the original world, so you can enjoy the story even if you haven't played the game.
3. This story began as a spur-of-the-moment idea, and my personal experience and perspective are limited. Some depictions of ancient life and military theory may be inaccurate. I hope people can discuss and point out mistakes in the comments in a gentler way. Thank you very much.
4. I have a habit of revising and periodically pretend to update. Also, if there are plot holes that stray too far from real historical conditions to fix, I'll just give up and call it an alternate history setting (just kidding). The blurb only includes the usual warnings. For the full setting, see the chapter about the novel's setting. It might end up looking like a menu, hahaha.
5. I'll also be updating on Lao Fu's whatever-it-is. Occasionally, silly empress pictures will appear. I'm terrible at drawing people, so they're mostly edited meme expressions.jpg. The original images are included. Don't read if that bothers you.
6. One of my personal and rather wicked headcanons is that the ancient world has reversed gender roles. See the setting chapter for details, but be careful if you want to avoid spoilers. Also, if some of the empress's thoughts and statements make you uncomfortable, don't doubt it: I wrote them that way on purpose. If you find it strange when the genders are reversed, but think it's perfectly normal when a man treats a woman that way, then you should ask yourself if something is wrong with you, rather than with this novel.
My abilities are limited, so the story only depicts gender issues and does not explore more extreme topics. That doesn't mean I avoid or deny them. I strongly suspect that last sentence is what got my blurb rejected [Otherwise, in my next life I'll have to become a 2D character.jpg]
Theme: The life of a certain founding monarch
Some of the copy was urgently deleted halfway through. I would like to add that in the original copy, I had a preconception that women were superior to men. But then I went to Weibo and read the official version and found out that it was a wonderful era when men and women were equal and everyone could have children. I originally planned to apologize for misleading in the copy, but the revised copy kept being deleted. I didn't know what the problem was, so I had to delete the entire paragraph. Although I don't know if the original text has misled some readers, I would like to apologize here first, because it is true that I did not pay attention to the original information. So far, I have made three mistakes with opposite settings. I will treat this novel with a more rigorous attitude in the future. I also thank you for your continued support. I hope I can write it until the day when I think the final ending of the Empress is achieved. Good luck
After playing with the eldest princess all night, I felt that the empress still had a great time. The eldest princess was so painful.
It's well written. Do you think Ling Shi is having a hard time? (I won't play fish anymore in the future, otherwise I'll feel sorry for her)
Oh my god, it's true, author, your writing is so good and so contagious.
Wait, the muscular boy with blue hair. . Rong, RongRong?!
Hahaha, the author clearly laid out the meaning of each sentence and the current situation, and successfully made me, a fool, understand the power of the article (???????)?* Thinking back to the teacher who tried so hard to teach me advanced math (fog)
Although I feel very sorry for Ling Shi, I have to say that it is indeed an "arrow" and three eagles - Feng Changming's life, Luo Yun's trust and a wife (?) Looking forward to Luo Yun's reaction in the next chapter hahahaha
This, the enemy prince falls in love with the heir, it's so perfect! I'm ready for the blade.
Good guy, the former empress said that Ling Shi didn't look like her, and Feng Jing said that she looked similar, which was definitely foreshadowing!
It's really beautiful. TT can't get enough of it. My wife is so good at cooking!! I really like it!! Will there be any wow later?
