Reader's guide:
· Set after the war. It does not affect the original story and does not follow a save-the-world plot. No transmigration or rebirth, and no foreknowledge. The story starts in the summer of 1998. Later events have little to do with canon. Canon's golden trio returning to finish their seventh year is an original setting. Original characters are mostly background figures, with few appearances early on.
· A long story about growing up, with plenty of everyday life. It follows the characters from their first year to graduation, then from their student days into adulthood. Many original characters, including names, across all four houses, with Gryffindor as the main focus.
· No romance in Years One and Two. Romance warning: there is only one main character and several other important characters, with no conventional male lead. Relationships develop as time passes, events unfold, and feelings change. This is not a fluffy romance, and there are multiple people interested in the protagonist. Readers who only like female leads with no romantic history, and readers who are devoted to the male lead, should proceed with caution. Canon couples remain together.
· The magic system is based mainly on the original works, the official website, and the Fantastic Beasts series. Gentle canon analysis is welcome. There are also some original interpretations and settings, but none stray too far from the original worldbuilding.
· Dialogue and opinions in the story reflect the characters' perspectives and should not be taken as the author's. Personal attacks are not welcome. No character is perfect, and no person is perfect.
· Updates are slow, but I won't abandon the story as long as someone is reading. Everyone who bookmarks or comments is precious to me! Your support is a huge motivation for me to write out of love!
