The Great Wilderness: The Tale of Cihang

Cihang Daoren was one of the Twelve Golden Immortals under Yuanshi Tianzun. During the Investiture of the Gods, the Lady of the Clouds stripped away his Three Flowers and ten thousand years of magic power. He was later led west by a Buddhist sage, reincarnated a hundred times as a woman, and became Guanzizai Bodhisattva, the Greatly Compassionate Guanyin, one of the Three Great Beings of the later age. It is said that Cihang Daoren was associated with the lotus and had no fixed gender. This bodhisattva only came to be in order to fulfill humanity's longing for a mother's love. So what different fate might have awaited Cihang Daoren if he had originally been a woman and known what the future held? Notice: I can't update for a while because of my studies.
