Cleaning Up the Entertainment Industry

In his previous life, Qin Yan was an award-winning actor whose shows were hits, but whose name never caught on. If he kept working diligently for another twenty years, he might become a respected veteran actor. One day, he read a melodramatic angst novel. The shou was a delicate little white chrysanthemum, trembling in the storm of affection from four powerful semes, and then becoming famous with almost no effort. When he read it, he didn't think much of it. He just thought some of the scenes were damn hot. He never expected that one day he'd transmigrate into the novel and become a minor star. In the original story, the minor star was a bit-part villain who did nothing but envy the protagonist shou, whose acting was just as bad but whose luck was much better. Following the usual plot, he should have used his knowledge of the story to pick hit dramas and make everything he filmed a smash. But that didn't happen. The plot went off the rails like a runaway horse, and not even ten Qin Yans could rein it in. Original hit drama A: Funded by seme one, a business tycoon. The shou and seme two, a popular idol, starred in it. It should have had countless people obsessing over their ship, but seme two got ruined by fanbase infighting. Seme one lost a fortune and ran off sobbing. Original hit drama B: Directed by seme three, a renowned director, with seme four, an award-winning actor, doing everything he could to support the production. It was expected to be the year's biggest hit, and the shou was supposed to shoot to fame once it aired. But then seme four was investigated for tax issues. Seme three was implicated in all sorts of problems and might never make a comeback. The only one left standing was the major villain. This time, the major villain was too busy to make trouble for the seme and shou. All he could think about was getting Qin Yan more acting opportunities. Later, he and Qin Yan got together. Theme: The entertainment industry should be a force for good too.
