Original BG novel coming soon: "An Anthology of Otherworldly Tales"

1. Siren

Their faces shone like the morning sun, and their voices were peerless. Cursed for refusing to sing for the gods, they became half-human, half-bird monsters, yet still refused to submit.

This proud man sang for me alone.

"I'll give you everything I have. Though apart from this voice, nothing else I possess has any value."

2. Dragon

A foolish dragon with a cognitive disorder can't tell the difference between gems and me. We spend our days cuddling and snuggling, with lots and lots of licking.

Well, his drool doesn't stink. It even smells kind of nice, so I guess I'll... accept it [sob].

3. Centaur

Everyone says centaurs are the most loathsome monsters in the world. Their blood is highly poisonous, and clothes made from their hides will burn whoever wears them alive.

They're violent and lecherous.

Only I know none of that is true.

4. Cordyceps

An alien fungus, much like cordyceps, has parasitized me. It has taken root inside me, absorbing my flesh and blood as it grows at an incredible pace.

It became conscious. It speaks from inside me, trying to understand everything about me and communicate with me.

I don't hate it.

5. Puppet

He said he was a puppet who couldn't feel pain. No matter how many times he was smashed to pieces, he could be put back together. He couldn't die or fall ill, and he couldn't feel sadness or pain.

He used to be human.

6. Alien

To save me, my boyfriend joined a suicide squad and went to another star system to explore an unknown region.

He came back looking unlike any creature on Earth. He had lost his memories, his reason, everything. All he had left was his life and the instinct to be close to me.
