You Have My Heart

Zhou Yisheng brought Han Zui home on a day of heavy snowfall.

He could tell at a glance that Han Zui wasn't human. He was missing a heart and didn't have long to live.

Once Han Zui died, Zhou Yisheng could gather the demon aura lingering in his body and fill the hole in his own heart.

What Zhou Yisheng often did was curl up in Han Zui's arms, drawing in his aura for a little comfort.

*

Han Zui had deliberately arranged a chance encounter and moved into Zhou Yisheng's home.

He could tell that Zhou Yisheng was chronically ill and wouldn't last six months.

Once Zhou Yisheng died, Han Zui could reclaim the heart entrusted to him and return to his former glory.

Han Zui's favorite thing to do was hold Han Zui and press a hand over his heart, feeling its strong beat and looking forward to the future.

Six months passed.

Zhou Yisheng looked healthier and healthier, and he was getting less short of breath.

Han Zui's demon power grew, and his strength increased day by day.

One day, Zhou Yisheng went to buy medicine from a little demon as usual. He happened upon the demon being cornered and nearly killed.

The little demon pointed shakily at Zhou Yisheng and said, "You want to save someone, and he wants to save someone too. I really don't have a single immortal herb left!"

The person threatening the little demon turned around.
