Caged Luan

Wuli, the youngest daughter of Emperor Xuanliang, possessed celestial beauty, pearly teeth, and a rare loveliness the world could hardly match. The little princess should have lived in luxury and honor, but in Nanyue, eunuchs held power and the imperial authority had waned. On the day of the state banquet, Wuli had no choice but to seek help from the neighboring kingdom's tyrant. Unfortunately, tipsy as she was, she mistook someone else for him. The banquet's music still lingered in the air as the timid young woman approached, tugging softly at his robe. The visitor had black hair and red lips, and his brocade boots crunched across the soft snow. He glanced at the familiar face before him. "A Li, instead of begging someone else, why not beg me?" * Word spread that at the banquet, the little princess had used every trick in the book to ensnare Xie Huaiyu, the treacherous eunuch at the imperial court. Xie Huaiyu wielded immense power, had a sinister temperament, and treated human life as worthless. Everyone lamented that the pretty little thing must have lost her mind. They had no idea that, after clawing his way up from the mud through countless nights on the brink of death, it was the girl's soft, sweet calls of "handsome big brother" that had brought him back to himself. From then on, greed gnawed at his bones and desire burned in his heart. He could only think of the girl's slender waist, waiting for her to walk right into his trap, her sweet voice breaking into helpless, songbird cries meant for him alone. #Rekindled Love, Possessive Pursuit# Theme: Though surrounded by an abyss, the heart can still dwell in a paradise.
