After Moving Into a Haunted House, I Became Humanity's Savior

Xu Xia has lived for 25 years, always believing he was as ordinary as they come.

But then his life changes overnight. Short on money, he's forced to move into a haunted house everyone avoids!

When he arrives, however, he discovers that the supposedly haunted house is beautiful, with fresh air and lovely surroundings. It's exactly his dream home.

If only there weren't so many nonhuman creatures...

He thought moving into the haunted house would only be temporary, and that afterward he'd go back to his ordinary life as a corporate drone. But what happens next turns his whole worldview upside down! The mystery of the paper cutouts, the twin phoenixes weeping blood, the Son of Heaven's wrath... and more.

These strange events seem to have nothing to do with an ordinary person like him, yet they forcefully disrupt his life and draw him into a shocking conspiracy.

Fortunately, along the way, he reunites with his childhood friend, Shen Xifu, who disappeared ten years ago and has now returned as a Taoist priest.

It seems his childhood friend's reputation is rather impressive:

"A leading figure among the younger generation of the occult world"

"The personal disciple of the head of Cangshan Mountain"

"Born with a pure yang body, the bane of ghosts"

Xu Xia looks at the handsome, cold-faced man beside him, his long hair tied back and his clothes casual, and can't help asking: Is he really that amazing?
