After Mistaking the Tenth for My Benefactor

The year I entered my final year of high school, I finally met the "long-legged uncle" who had supported me for years.

From what I knew, "Uncle" was a young man who ran the family business. He had a good temper, was unmarried, and lived in Italy year-round. He seemed to be a foreigner.

I looked at the brown-haired young man in front of me: young, male, elegantly dressed, gentle-looking, and wearing no wedding ring on his right hand.

Everything checked out except that he didn't look much like a foreigner.

So I promptly called him Uncle, planning to repay his kindness by becoming his niece, despite having different parents.

But to my utter surprise, just as I was wholeheartedly determined to repay him,

he told me I had mistaken him for someone else.

The Tenth Generation head of an Italian seafood company had a little secret.

A year ago, at the request of his senior, he returned to Japan and met the daughter of an old friend his senior had supported for years, in his place.

To his surprise, the girl mistook him for her "long-legged uncle."

When she called him Uncle without a second thought, the twenty-four-year-old, young and promising Tenth Generation head with a bright future was left speechless: "..."

He wondered, "Do I really look that old?!" But to help his senior keep his identity secret, he had no choice but to grit his teeth and play along.

Now the girl has finally graduated from high school and is beginning a new chapter in her life.

The Tenth Generation head, who had been forced to play fake uncle for a year, took a deep breath

It was time to come clean :)
