He grits his teeth and glares viciously at Ji Lian.

Fang Zhu's father is the head steward of the Yan family, so Fang Zhu grew up living with his father at the Yan estate.

He grew up with the young master, Yan Jiyun. They're childhood friends as close as brothers, always together for eating, drinking, sleeping, and everything else. If they can avoid being apart, they do.

Everything changed because of one thing Yan Jiyun said in his sleep:

One hot summer night, Fang Zhu was sleeping face-to-face with Yan Jiyun, their legs tangled together, when Yan Jiyun suddenly began mumbling in his sleep.

Woken by the noise, Fang Zhu leaned closer to listen.

Yan Jiyun smacked his lips and murmured drowsily, "Xiao Zhu, don't move. Just one kiss, just one."

Fang Zhu felt as if thunder had struck him. He tumbled out of bed and bolted from the room without looking back.

From that day on, he never shared a room or a bed with Yan Jiyun again.

Yan Jiyun noticed something was off, but Fang Zhu kept his lips sealed and never told him about the words he'd heard.

Aside from no longer sleeping together, everything between them carried on as usual.

Fang Zhu thought that if he gave it time, everything would go back to normal. Who knew this guy would only get worse!

For example, when Fang Zhu is helping out in the kitchen, Yan Jiyun suddenly appears behind him, wraps his arms around Fang Zhu's waist, and snuggles up to him!

Or when Fang Zhu is taking a bath, Yan Jiyun barges in to ask if he needs his back scrubbed!

And sometimes, when Fang Zhu is sleeping peacefully on his own, Yan Jiyun unlocks his door, crawls into his bed with a pillow, and cuddles up to sleep beside him?

Fang Zhu finally loses it and punches Yan Jiyun.

"We're both men. Have some self-control!"

Yan Jiyun looks completely baffled. "Huh? I didn't do anything."

Fang Zhu: "I mean, stop touching me so much!"

Later, Yan Jiyun begins taking over the family business. Inexperienced and fresh on the scene, he is set up and drugged.

But the next morning, he wakes up in his own bed, fully dressed and with all his limbs intact.

Aside from feeling a little dizzy, he has no other discomfort.

Yan Jiyun: As expected of me.

Still, ever since that night, a strange image keeps appearing in his mind

Yan Jiyun: Who is that?

He asks Fang Zhu who brought him home that night.

Fang Zhu: "The driver."

Yan Jiyun: "Nobody else?"

Fang Zhu: "No."

Later, Yan Jiyun starts interrogating Fang Zhu.

At home, he corners him and asks, "Where were you on the night of June 27? What were you doing?"

Fang Zhu: "In my room, asleep."

In the car, he pins him down and asks, "Where were you on the night of June 27? What were you doing?"

Fang Zhu: "In my room, asleep."

Finally, after Fang Zhu gets drunk, Yan Jiyun pulls him into the hallway and asks,

"Where were you on the night of June 27? What were you doing?"

Fang Zhu, drunk: "In my room... asleep..."

Yan Jiyun tempts him: "Which room did you sleep in? How about we go take a look?"

And then he watches Fang Zhu, unsteady on his feet,

staggering,

weaving from side to side,

walk toward Yan Jiyun's room.

Yan Jiyun: ^-^

I knew it, Xiao Zhu. Sooner or later, you'll be mine, body and soul.
