How Can You Have Such a Crush? Are You Trying to Get Yourself Killed?

After the college entrance exam, Tan Jinzhuo lost a bet with a friend. Her punishment was to text the boy in her class she had the least contact with, “I like you. Please be my boyfriend,” every day for half a month.

On day one, he didn’t believe her at all.

On day two, he was half convinced.

On day three, he told her to give up.

On day fourteen, he was so moved he cried.

On day fifteen, he believed her completely.

On day twenty, he accused her of playing him.

On day thirty, he told her she’d have to pay with her life.

On day thirty-five, Tan Jinzhuo looked at the boy in front of her, his eyes rimmed red and his brows knitted, gripping her arm and demanding an explanation. A question mark slowly appeared over her head. She was only playing a game and following the rules. Why had he suddenly lost his mind and accused her of having no heart?
