During class, Sano Manjiro would bombard her with phone calls, until every teacher knew her as the student whose family was always having some kind of emergency.
When she jumped down from a wall, Sano Manjiro would catch her securely. He always lifted her a little before setting her down.
Lost in thought, she is interrupted when a weight settles on her shoulder. Sano Manjiro, now a grown man, has once again fallen fast asleep without realizing it.
A few people look at one another, then share a knowing smile.
