The demon dragon had a strange temperament and never paid any attention to Lin Fanyu, who kept showing up on his doorstep.
It took Lin Fanyu some effort to win him over.
Then he discovered that every full moon, the demon dragon went out to visit a grave.
So Lin Fanyu dressed up again and lay in wait for him.
On a moonless, windy night, Lin Fanyu successfully ambushed the demon dragon at the grave and pulled out all the stops until the dragon had his way with him.
Lin Fanyu gained plenty of benefits: wealth, cultivation, status, and more.
There was one downside, though: the demon dragon still went to visit the grave.
Lin Fanyu knew that the grave held the remains of the demon dragon's beloved, who had died long ago.
And he was a substitute.
But Lin Fanyu didn't mind.
With so many benefits, who cared whether he was a substitute?

From then on, Lin Fanyu stayed with the demon dragon, loving every minute of it.
His fellow disciples sent word, telling him to come back.
Lin Fanyu refused.
Until one day, the run-down sect joined forces with members of the Immortal Alliance and came to demand the demon dragon hand him over.
The others seized the chance to try to talk some sense into Lin Fanyu: "Wake up! You're just a substitute! The world is huge. The demon dragon isn't your only option!"
Lin Fanyu: "The world is huge, and the demon dragon really is my only option."
Everyone: "Why?"
A gust of wind stirred the mottled red marks peeking out from Lin Fanyu's collarbone.
Lin Fanyu calmly pulled his clothes tight, his pink lips curling bashfully. "You wouldn't understand this kind of pleasure."

Lin Fanyu swore he would never leave the demon dragon.
His fellow disciples grew desperate and sent a man who looked like the demon dragon to seduce him, hoping Lin Fanyu would see the error of his ways and return to the sect.
Lin Fanyu looked disdainfully at the decoy top's lower half. "He has two. How many do you have?"
Decoy top: ?
Decoy top: "What are you talking about? I don't understand at all!"
