Blurb
Wu Duoduo falls in love with someone.
Nine years ago, beneath a grove of banana trees, they shared a single unforgettable glance. She was a rebellious biker girl out roaming the streets, while he was a cool, immaculate boy who stepped in to help her out of a jam.
When they meet again nine years later, she has lost none of her spark. Still as willful as ever, she confesses to him: "I like you. Can I chase you?"
Ling Xiao's voice is cold as ice. "You can chase me, but we have to get married first." He lays down three rules in their agreement.
She diligently memorizes the third rule: Obey.
She thinks they will be together forever. She thinks Ling Xiao will be the eternal angel in her life.
But she never imagined that after living an ordinary life for twenty-three years, she would turn out to be the heiress of a distinguished family in the rich district.
Even less does she expect the angel in her heart to bare his demonic claws because of it.
When she finally sees the truth, she decides to divorce him.
He won't even discuss it with her. Instead, he reminds her to abide by the first rule in their agreement:
Only he can ask for a divorce.
When Wu Duoduo learns that Ling Xiao has lost his memory, she rushes to the hospital to see him.
In the hospital room, Ling Xiao's eyes are cool as the moon at night. He looks at her with a distant, unfamiliar gaze, no longer showing any of his old possessiveness.
She nods repeatedly. "Great!"
"What?" A flicker passes through Ling Xiao's eyes.
"Well, we agreed to get divorced after the New Year because we don't feel like kissing each other or sleeping together."
When Ling Xiao's closest confidants hear that he wants a divorce, they hurry to talk him out of it. "She's the only woman you've ever loved. If you sign the divorce papers, you'll regret it."
Ling Xiao is unconcerned. "I've never needed a woman."
Four years later, Ling Xiao regains his memory and remembers that he and Wu Duoduo are divorced. Overcome with distress, he vomits blood and is hospitalized.
When Wu Duoduo hears he's in the hospital, she brings their family of four to visit him. He nearly ends up in the ICU for emergency treatment a second time.
Watching Wu Duoduo and the twins discuss his condition right in front of him without a care, he finally understands: she really doesn't want him anymore.
1. Amnesia
2. A romantic rivalry
3. The true heiress
A rebellious girl and a cool, aloof male lead
Theme: Ride against the current
After reading the text, I had a doubt: the protagonist's twins were with another boy, not with the male protagonist, right? Don't tell me that after four years of divorce, you still get married and stay safe for the hero.
Would anyone really say this to a male friend who has a girlfriend????
Will the real and fake daughters compete with each other? Don't really like female competition
