Selling Lunch Boxes in the 1970s

He Jianzhuzhu, a food supplier, is transported through time to 1970s Yanjing City by a sudden clap of thunder.

He receives the 1970s Instant Delivery System and becomes a food delivery pioneer.

People of the 1970s, tremble!

Zhajiangmian, watermelon curd, grated potatoes, pork strips, Suzhou-style baked goods, Spanish mackerel dumplings, pork buns with radish and cracklings...

A magical aluminum lunchbox, delivered right to your door. There's no arguing about what to eat, only about how delicious it is.

Chef Xiao He's boxed meals are delicious at every meal, fragrant day after day.

The He family parents are framed and sentenced to labor in the northwest.

Their house is confiscated, the children are distraught, and the entire family is about to fall apart.

He Jianzhuzhu arrives just in time to comfort his siblings, stock up on ingredients, and resolutely head to the countryside.

The educated youth compound outside the capital is packed with people.

The sparsely populated Loess Plateau is a better place to keep a low profile and grow.

The Liujiayuan Brigade suffers drought nine years out of ten and is so poor that people can't afford food.

No money? No problem. Zemon flowers, Chinese thyme, and tomatoes can all be traded for boxed meals.

When the commune director comes to inspect, what a sight: the entire brigade, people and sheep alike, have all put on weight.

A small lunchbox can make a big difference. Every plant and tree, every person and place, changes because of it.

Food and business are the main focus, with stockpiling as a recurring theme. The male lead appears later.
