[Fake Watch-Along] Crossover, Mainly Detective Conan: Pandora

The world has two sides: light and dark.

Ordinary people live in the surface world and lead ordinary lives.

But for various reasons, some people stray into the inner world. Their memories are erased, but the technology is imperfect, and so fantasy literature came into being.

And so the story begins, with the source of everything: a legend passed down from the inner world.

They say that somewhere in the world lies a mysterious gem. Under the moonlight, it gives off a red glow. It is a gem embedded within a much larger one. Drinking a drop of its liquid grants eternal life. Its name is Pandora.

Those who believe in this legend know nothing of the other being that came into existence alongside Pandora.

It is the gem that can hold Pandora, and it too has an extraordinary name: Pandora's Box.

Legend says that if the box is ever opened, evil spirits skilled in the magic of chaos will be unleashed to wreak havoc upon the world.

Millions of years ago, a man seeking eternal life opened Pandora's Box, and beneath the moonlight, he did indeed gain everlasting life.

But when he awoke from the joy of immortality, he found that in the instant he opened the box, the world had been overrun by the evil spirits released from within.

He had gained eternal life, but lost everything else. In the end, he sacrificed the drop of gem liquid in his body, and the world was restored to peace.

Though the myth has grown incomplete with the passage of time, later generations still use "Pandora's Box" as a byword for disaster. It is a nightmare engraved in humanity's genetic code.
