Shadow Gazer

[Main Story] An anonymous email leads the captain of the criminal investigation team at the Zhaolin City branch into the area's largest publicly listed company to uncover the truth. On his first day at the job, he runs into a superior he takes for a few screws short of a full toolbox, only to discover that they have mistaken each other's identities. He's idle, neglects his duties, acts suspiciously, and is full of tricks. Not only does he show up at crime scenes, he also pesters him every few days with the same tricks people use to pursue a love interest. Lu Ying decisively tosses the medicine someone thoughtfully brought him into the trash and says coldly, "If you've got nothing to do, go find a job." At that moment, Ji Xiao, flipping through case files at the police station on the other end of the phone, chuckles. "Sorry, I'm a rich second-generation heir." Lu Ying hangs up on him on the spot. It isn't until the day of the crime scene investigation that this rich second-generation heir, suspected of being a serial killer, finally slips up. Lu Ying sneers and is about to arrest him, but the next second, the man before him suddenly turns his gaze on him and says with deep affection, "Captain Lu, want to date?" Lu Ying: "?" Then that low voice sounds again. "And, by the way, let me introduce myself properly. I'm Ji Xiao, captain of the criminal investigation team at Zhaolin City Headquarters."
