After an Emergency Landing, I Helped an Entire Planet Out of Poverty

Interstellar trader Bai Luo encountered turbulence on her return voyage and accidentally crash-landed on a world covered entirely in water. To gather energy and repair her ship, Bai Luo had to trade with the people there. But she never expected them to be so poor that she'd have to help them before she could get any energy. Giving things away for free was out of the question. It was an ironclad rule no interstellar trader could break. Luckily, this wasn't her first time doing something like this. What else could she do? Do it again. Food, fruits and vegetables, livestock, clothing... Bai Luo brought out one item after another to trade with them. She thought they were simply meeting each other's needs, but the stories about her grew more and more outrageous. By the time Bai Luo realized what was happening, she had evolved from a "mysterious merchant" into a "poverty-relief officer dispatched by the Interstellar Federation." Faced with the grateful faces of the planet's leaders, Bai Luo could only manage a mysterious smile. Then she turned around and filled out the same report she'd submitted last time. Once she got home, she could apply to her superiors for another bonus. How wonderful. Reader's guide: 1. The world setting is inspired by Waterworld. 2. More plot, less romance.
