When she opened her eyes again, she discovered she'd transmigrated to a matriarchal world, where every man was refined, gentle, virtuous, and obedient. Su Shang: Nice. (Excited) She also discovered that almost every day, a man came to look after her and brought her little gifts. Sometimes it was wild vegetables, sometimes wildflowers. Su Shang: Nice. (Thrilled) Then she discovered that the man was actually a pitiful young widower from next door. Su Shang: ... Heh heh, even better! (Smirks) Lu Zhiqing had once been helped by the married couple next door, the Sus. So even though life was hard for him, he helped Su Shang whenever he could. Even when he was beaten, cursed at, and slandered, ruining his reputation, he didn't care. But who could have guessed that the person next door would really make that reputation stick!
