Divine Reversal

Long Yuan was the last of the ancient gods. He was handsome and dignified, with a refined and upright manner, and a cool disposition that preferred quiet.

On the day the God of War Feng Shang's soul returned to the void and his body was buried in the Sea of Bodhi, Long Yuan came alone to pay his respects.

In the freezing snow, a little fairy maiden with a dirty face offered Long Yuan, whose eyes were icy, a bodhi fruit.

She was covered in wounds, yet the smile on her face was purer and more carefree than the bodhi blossoms.

No one knew where Fen Jiling had come from. Everyone thought she was a little fairy maiden who had just ascended.

She was sweet-looking, well-behaved, and sensible, but her spiritual power was so weak that she was often bullied.

Until the day she lay in bed covered in wounds, and Long Yuan personally came to take her away.

From then on, Fen Jiling became Long Yuan's only disciple. Her room was filled with precious gifts others had offered him, she wore magical treasures the immortals could only dream of obtaining, and she ate at the same table as Long Yuan every day.

Fen Jiling remembered Long Yuan's kindness and served him wholeheartedly, hoping that this most exalted and powerful being in all the worlds would spare her a glance in return for her loyal service.

It wasn't until he was gravely injured while saving her and opened the Mirror of Time in a delirious state that he learned she was merely a tribulation from ten thousand years ago.

Classic dialogue:

Divine Mother: I created you and gave you life. Not only are you ungrateful, you even dare to oppose me?

Jiling: Why did you give me this fate? I don't want it!

Divine Mother: You have no choice!

Jiling: I refuse to accept my fate!

Divine Mother: A mayfly trying to shake a tree. How foolish.

Jiling: I'll prove how powerful a drop of water can be when it wears through stone.

Theme: Keep moving forward through setbacks. After enduring betrayal and hardship, stay strong and live on, never forgetting your original purpose and protecting what you want to protect
