A Belated Confession

It's finished. Thanks for reading. Scroll down for the blurb of my next novel, The Black Moonlight's Road to Redemption.

Six years ago, eighteen-year-old Gu Xiaotang got drunk and spent the night with a handsome stranger, Chen Yizhou. She got pregnant.

Six years later, she returned from studying in America with her son, Gu Xingxing.

The little bartender she'd once spent a wild night with had transformed into the CEO of the Rui Feng Group.

Chen Yizhou, radiating danger, cornered Gu Xiaotang and demanded,

"Tell me, whose child is he?"

Gu Xiaotang smiled and lifted her chin. "Obviously, mine."

"I asked who his father is."

Gu Xiaotang said, "That has nothing to do with you."

Chen Yizhou sat down at his leisure and tossed a stack of investigation reports in front of her.

"The paternity test. You still want to deny it?"

Gu Xiaotang grew flustered. "Chen Yizhou, what exactly do you want?"

Chen Yizhou smiled. "Sue me for custody, and you'll lose, no question."

Gu Xiaotang gritted her teeth. "What's the other option?"

Chen Yizhou said, "Marry me."

Chen Yizhou had been plotting to win Gu Xiaotang's heart for a long time, but she still couldn't let go of her reservations.

Six years ago, he failed to hold on to her. Six years later, he would never let her leave again.

May this long-overdue confession unlock the heart she's kept closed for so long.

(The beginning may be a little slow, but married life is all sweetness. The title says it all. I'll update according to the rankings if it makes the list, otherwise every other day. Thanks for reading.)

Bonus scene 1:

Gu Xingxing: I want to sleep with Mommy and Daddy.

Gu Xiaotang: Be good, Xingxing. Daddy still has to work late tonight.

Ignoring Gu Xiaotang's warning look, Chen Yizhou told his son, "Daddy doesn't have to work late today. He can sleep with Xingxing."

After they got married, he started using every trick he could think of to stay over at her house. He claimed it was all for the child.
