Fleeing Famine with My Childhood Rival and the System

While traveling, Ji Miao and Luo Yan had just had an argument. Then a landslide sent them both tumbling off a cliff, and they transmigrated to ancient times together.

The age was one of rival warlords, with the land ravaged by war and nine out of ten households wiped out. It was a year of great famine.

The bonus package Ji Miao got for transmigrating was a System that displayed the market price and effects of anything she touched.

But when she looked at her ten-year-old body, she doubted she could even reach the first blade of grass she could eat.

Ji Miao looked at Luo Yan, who was also ten, hoping his System would be a little more powerful.

"Ji Miao, even without a System, I can still keep you alive!" Luo Yan declared confidently.

Ji Miao, who had grown up with him since they were both in split-crotch pants, lay on the kang, utterly despairing. Got it, he didn't have a System.

Ji Miao's attitude made Luo Yan bristle. He slapped the kang, about to curse the god who had sent them through time.

The kang shattered into pieces with a clatter.

Ji Miao jumped off it in terror.

...Fine, they'd just have to make do and run away :)
