The Demon King Flees, the Hero Gives Chase, and There's No Escape

[Completed before signing a contract, currently locked while being revised]

One day, the horns on the great demon king’s head in another world fell off. Without his horns, the demon king looked as if he’d been transformed by a disguise spell, so when the transmigrated hero called him an "impostor demon king," it was absurd!

The demon king decides to find his horns and fight the hero to the death, unaware that his horns are no longer just horns.

Meanwhile, another young demon king suddenly emerges from the reincarnation tower. She alone knows that the hornless demon king is bound to lose. She swears she’ll defeat the hero and save the other demon king.

But who could have guessed that the hero would be like this?

Hero: "I’ve found you, my demon (at)tack king, my dear (tar)get (wi)fe! (*/ω\*)"

Jilixi is left with a head full of question marks. "...Wife? What does wife mean?"

Normally, when a romantic push and pull fails, there’s only one result: they part ways on the spot.

But who could have guessed that neither the demon king nor the hero was normal?

Jilixi: "You say you love me? Ridiculous. Just tell me the truth: do you hate the sight of me?" She whipped out her magic sword and fought the hero for ten minutes.

The battle was intensely close for all ten minutes.

At last, the hero was the first to lower his sword. "Wife, you know I can’t bring myself to..."

"But if it makes you happy, then that’s wonderful. Besides..." Eloi smiled. "Getting to admire my wife’s peerless beauty up close doesn’t sound bad either. Too bad, I wish we could be even closer..."

Any closer and they’d be inside each other!

"Y-you, stay back!"

The love confession dealt devastating damage. The demon king spat up three mouthfuls of blood and collapsed.

2. One-on-one romance, happy ending

Please note before reading:

1. This story is built around its setting, and there are a whole lot of details.

2. The blurb shows how the leads interact. The main story focuses on the plot, and the romance develops slowly.

3. The male supporting character has a strong presence and an extremely one-sided crush on the heroine.

4. Set in a Japanese-style reincarnation light novel world. The male lead is of Japanese, Chinese, and Korean descent and has three names. His foreign name is used for easier reader identification.

5. They’re genuinely evenly matched in strength and will eventually fight, but the hero willingly admits defeat.

Theme: Even when reality often falls short of our hopes, we should still stay positive and do our best to live.
