Breaking the Pear

[This novel has been published in simplified Chinese.] On the day Wen Lisheng was to be married, Xie Xiaonan led rebel troops through the city gates and stopped her grand wedding procession. Forced to step out of her bridal sedan, she saw Xie Xiaonan sitting high on his horse, looking down at her. He smiled brightly, but his eyes were icy. The capital fell, the Liang kingdom descended into chaos, and the throne changed hands. Xie Xiaonan was crowned emperor. Wen Lisheng spent half a year trapped in her home before a cup of poisoned wine sent her to her death. When she opened her eyes again, she had returned to years earlier, when Xie Xiaonan had just arrived in Yiguan Commandery. Before she could even get her bearings, her rabble-rousing friends came running up to her, brimming with excitement. “Lizi, I kidnapped Young Lord Xie!” What should Wen Lisheng do now that she's reborn? Should she persuade him to turn back from the wrong path and give up his rebellion, so he can become a model young man with all the right values? Or should she strike first and kill Xie Xiaonan in Yiguan Commandery before any of this happens, stamping out the threat to prevent the upheaval his rebellion will cause? But Xie Xiaonan says, “I can punch straight through your ribs even with a sheet of iron between us.” Wen Lisheng's knees immediately buckle. “Your Highness, please calm down. I'll be your right-hand woman and help you conquer all before you!” [Young Lord × Commandery Governor's daughter] 1. One-on-one romance, both leads' first relationship, sweet story. A practice piece. Rebirth story with a playful tone. 2. The male lead isn't a bad person, and the female lead didn't die because of him. 3. The female lead isn't a meticulous, composed type. I can't write that sort of character. If you don't like silly characters, this isn't for you. New novel next door: Where Only Spring Knows Ji Yunheng realized the puppy she'd taken in had gone mad. It no longer wagged its tail and rubbed against her legs when it saw her. It wouldn't eat the food she brought it, either, and wouldn't let her pet it. It just hid in a corner and watched her warily with big eyes. All she'd done was casually remark, “I heard the Crown Prince's Heir is arrogant and domineering.” The puppy chased her and bit at her for half the day. Ji Yunheng was so angry she tied it to a tree in the courtyard and left it outside all night. No matter how much it barked, she ignored it, determined to make it reflect on its behavior. But early the next morning, a handsome young man climbed over her wall. Xu Junhe had been perfectly happy accompanying his imperial grandfather to Beiyan for the summer, but somehow, every sunset, he found himself inhabiting the body of a puppy raised by a young woman named Ji Yunheng. This girl wasn't loved by her father or mother at the Ji residence. She lived in a secluded courtyard, where everyone walked all over her. Xu Junhe hated people like her, who were so spineless and meekly accepted whatever came their way. But later, during the brightly decorated Qiqiao Festival, Xu Junhe went to their agreed meeting place and waited and waited, but she never showed. When he went out to find her, he saw Ji Yunheng giving a scented sachet to the legitimate son of Master Du. Furious, he snatched it away. “How many times did I teach you yesterday? You were supposed to give that sachet to me!” Theme: Be a good person
