Du Yan transmigrated.
He could explain transmigration with quantum mechanics, and two men getting married with Jinjiang tradition, but why did other transmigrators get golden fingers and rise to the top, while all he got was a whole village's contempt and disdain?
Fine. These days, even the underworld probably uses digital systems to summon souls, so mistakes shouldn't happen. It wasn't easy getting a second chance at life. He'd pay off the original owner's debts, then leave. After that, the sky would be high enough for birds to fly, and the sea wide enough for fish to swim.
But when he tried to cook, he nearly burned down the house, and two children who barely reached his waist had to feed him. When he tried farming, he pulled up the seedlings thinking they were weeds, wasting the man's days of hard work. When he chopped firewood, he chipped the axe, making an already struggling household even worse off...
Looking at the disdainful faces of the two children and the adult, Du Yan was on the verge of a breakdown. If someone had told him ahead of time that he'd transmigrate one day, he wouldn't have worked at his computer until he vomited blood. He would have gone to the countryside to raise chickens and ducks for some pre-transmigration training.
By the time he finally mastered farming, raised the two children with the man until they were plump and healthy, and renovated their dilapidated little house, he was ready to slap down divorce papers and leave. But things took a turn he had never anticipated...
After narrowly escaping death, Gan Yinian was about to divorce the treacherous Du Yan. But before he could do it, someone hit Du Yan over the head with a brick. When he woke up, he seemed like a completely different person.
Du Yan no longer had that foppish air about him. He still knew nothing about farming, but at least he was willing to work with his hands. He stopped flirting with other men whenever he went out. He even stopped trying to seduce Gan Yinian...
He'd thought he'd be glad, so why did his gaze keep drifting toward Du Yan?
When Du Yan handed him the divorce papers, Gan Yinian thought, My face hurts, but I really don't want a divorce.
A wronged but principled recipient who apologizes when he's wrong and tries to change, versus a fierce, untamed, tall and mighty seme.
P.S. 1. The romance is warm and affectionate, unfolding at a gentle, leisurely pace. The career storyline goes from having nothing to building wealth.
2. No pregnancy in this novel. The children aren't the seme's or the recipient's.
3. The original Du Yan and the seme were married for reasons beyond their control, but they had neither romantic feelings nor a physical relationship.
Theme: If you do it yourself, you'll have enough to eat and wear.
It feels like there are always a few masters of words like this in time travel stories, hahaha
... Why did you agree to this Brother Hu again? When I think about them not being completely cut off, I always feel like there is a knife hanging,
