The first time Zhang Xiuyuan saw Shen Ning, he thought he was a college student who had nearly been picked up off the street while drunk.
The second time he saw Shen Ning, the man had on a dress shirt and slacks, his hair slicked back. He had transformed into his little sister's teacher.
Shen Ning's face was stern. "Mr. Zhang, she's a middle schooler. She's not mature enough yet. As her guardian..."
Zhang Xiuyuan straightened up, dropping his nonchalant expression. "Hello, Teacher Shen. You're right. I'll do exactly as you say."
They added each other on WeChat, and Zhang Xiuyuan received a money transfer from Shen Ning.
Shen Ning blushed slightly, looking a little embarrassed. "Thanks for last time. This is for the room."
Zhang Xiuyuan was surprised. So he did remember.
One day, after Shen Ning made Zhang Xiuyuan's sister stay behind to recite her lessons because of her schoolwork, she sidled over to her brother and whispered mysteriously, "He must be dating you because you look like his ex."
Shen Ning slowly narrowed his eyes as he looked at the photo his sister had pulled up on her phone. "Your phone is confiscated. Have your parents come pick you up this weekend."
Zhang Xiuyuan, who has been sabotaged by his sister for 13 years: I didn't! I haven't! Don't listen to her nonsense!
P.S. The ex is just there to help them get together!
