An Andante Like a Song

Zheng Zhizi is tiny, and she often trails after Lin Yueze like a little tail.

Those who know them think he's just looking after his little sister.

Those who don't ask:

"Lin Yueze, why do you have to bring a kid along when you go out to have fun?"

Zheng Zhizi is sweet and sensible, but when they're out, she only listens to Lin Yueze.

Lin Yueze is a wild one, impossible even for his own mother to control, yet he obediently lets her make him sit down and do his homework.

People say Zheng Zhizi is his nemesis. Only he knows she's his lucky star.

On summer nights filled with the sound of cicadas, she was too scared to sleep, so Lin Yueze sang "Little Firefly" to soothe her.

When the road was buried under snow, she took a tumble, and Lin Yueze carried her on his back, trudging all the way to school.

When the light bulb at home broke, he climbed onto a chair, towering like a giant as she tilted her head back to look at him.

Soaked from head to toe, he stood outside her house and kissed her, lowering his head toward her.

Time is a song, playing softly in the depths of the years.
