In this world, there is a rabbit lantern whose flame burns until the lingering souls of the departed are gone.
*
Lin Tu has a lantern that can send the souls of those who died unjustly, and whose spirits linger in this world, into reincarnation.
But after sleeping for nearly a thousand years, she woke to find the wick of her rabbit lantern missing.
She heard that the Ghost King ruled with a firm hand, so she carried her lantern off to lodge a complaint.
Who could have guessed that the Ghost King was her husband from a thousand years ago?
The very husband for whom she had once braved the River of the Underworld, hauled his soul back with her own hands, and brought him back to life.
And the very husband who had cast her aside with a letter of divorce, leaving her sick and helpless in an enemy camp. To be precise, he was her ex-husband.
After all, love and hate alike had faded. The lantern flame went out, the music fell silent, and it had all been one long dream.

It was said that on that day, the guards of the Ghost King's palace witnessed their usually inscrutable lord lose his composure.
The Ghost King, who was always expressionless before them, actually clutched the hem of the young woman's clothes, his eyes reddening, yet unable to get a coherent word out.
But the young woman shook off his hand and told him to mind his manners.
Gu Yanfeng, the Ghost King, had always been looking for someone, someone he had personally abandoned while he was still alive.
He searched for nearly a thousand years, yet couldn't find even a single strand of her hair.
Then one day, he heard that someone had barged into the Ghost King's palace. He hadn't wanted to go himself, but one of his subordinates casually mentioned that it was a young woman carrying a rabbit lantern.
When he reached the main hall, the woman who appeared in his dreams every day was standing there safe and sound, just as she had been in the past.
He had died and come back to life. Who would have thought that in the end, the mountains and rivers remained unchanged, and so did their love?
One-on-one romance, happy ending
The regretful husband pursues his wife to win her back
Coming soon: Spring Comes Late, also titled I Matchmake My Future Husband
*
The Ghost King has a daughter named Lu Lichu. At eight hundred years old, she was at a fine age to marry.
Meng Po, who served as the matchmaker of the underworld, calculated that a young general in the human world would die in his prime a year from now, making him a perfect match for her little princess.
Lu Lichu didn't want to marry him, so she decided to find the young general a wife, so he could live happily ever after to a ripe old age and she could sever their destined romantic bond.
One day, it was the spirited Miss Xu, who was every bit as impressive as a man. The next, it was Miss Jiang, skilled in music, chess, calligraphy, and painting. The young general met each one with an expressionless face and turned her down.
Lu Lichu grew anxious. She stopped the young general and asked what sort of wife he wanted.
The usually stoic Young General Song blushed. "That young lady from the Lu family seems nice. She's clever and mischievous, and just my type."
Lu Lichu's ears turned red too. Maybe it wouldn't be so bad?

The Book of the Nameless said that Song Yuzhou, the young general, would die in the forty-fifth year of Tian'an.
That day, the sun blazed overhead. Song Yuzhou stood atop the city wall, covered in blood. He thought, What a shame. I won't get to marry Miss Lu.
A rain of arrows came down, piercing his armor and burying themselves in his shoulder.
Amid that sea of red, Young General Song saw his Miss Lu.
His Miss Lu was barefoot, silver bells chiming at her ankles. As they rang, countless evil spirits crawled out of the earth, dragged the enemy soldiers from their horses, and tore them to pieces.
She's barefoot. She mustn't catch a chill.
That was the only thought in Young General Song's mind as he fell from the city tower.
Core message: Stay true to yourself.
I don't quite understand why Liang Zhao rebelled. Is it because he was unwilling? Or did I miss it?
These two from the Liang family are really disgusting
Press the paw to check in, the Liang brothers and sisters are so disgusting
I hope the male and female protagonists will go crazy quickly
Ah, so what the male protagonist, the ghost king, does is meaningless? Are there people all around who have their own selfish motives? Ah this...
!!!! Had A Tu discovered a long time ago that Huang Lu would not call A Tu "A Tu"? I used to think that she covered up the injury to prevent "Huang Lu from worrying"
Really good-looking!! Treasure article!!
It's very well written and beautiful. Why is the collection rate so low?
!! I really like that setting!!!
Looks great, but the end is a bit rushed~
