Blurb:
Jiang Xia is a female gaming streamer. Her stream cover features a stunning selfie, and her title is written in cute pink lettering: “Pretty girl with a sweet voice is working hard to rank up. Please carry me QAQ.”
Unaware of the truth, a male gaming fan sees the cover and clicks in, full of excitement.
Then his expression slowly goes blank.
Who can tell him who this beast is, who has a 2,400-point rating in the top-ranked competition and pushed to the high ground in seven minutes???
[Comment 1: Hahahaha, Xia Xia tricked another male fan into coming in just to kill him]
[Comment 2: Friend, ever heard of Huowu, the national server's best?]
[Comment 3: A gorgeous, sweet-voiced killer mid-laner. Follow this hidden-gem streamer, you won't regret it]
After streaming on the Starlight platform for a month, Jiang Xia’s followers reached one million.
One day, a private message caught her attention.
[River City MVP Esports Club: Hello, would you consider going pro?]
Jiang Xia: What do you have to offer?
River City MVP Esports Club: Dreams, a stage, the first all-women professional team...
Jiang Xia: Speak plainly.
River City MVP Esports Club: Money. A whole lot of money.
Jiang Xia: Would it be okay if I came in to sign tomorrow?
River City MVP Esports Club: ...

Origin Group, a new-energy giant in River City, suddenly invested in a little-known esports club. The first team the club launched, River City MVP, recruited only female players, and offered them extremely generous terms.
Even more outrageous, apart from team captain Qiao Weiyu, who had made a name for herself in the academy and won Best Jungler, the other four players were an autistic girl who had dropped out of a gifted program, a rebellious delinquent with tattoos who got into fights, an internet-addicted girl whose parents sent her to military school, and a streamer with a million followers.
The substitute position was vacant.
Everyone: What the hell?
Origin Group, blink twice if you've been kidnapped.
Unexpectedly, River City MVP fought its way up from the qualifiers, battling its way through the competition. Two years later, at the autumn tournament, it took the championship against everyone's expectations.
The public went wild.
[MVP Wins the Championship] soon shot to the top of the trending list.
At the height of the buzz, someone suddenly posted several photos on a forum, captioned: “MVP’s Jiang Xia slept her way to the top with Origin Group’s CEO. Pictures don’t lie!”
There were two pictures.
In the first, Jiang Xia walked into the CEO’s office alone. In the second, as she came out, there was an unmistakable hickey on her neck. Both had been taken candidly.
Just as rumors and speculation swarmed from every direction, Origin Group’s famously inactive official account suddenly came back to life.
Origin Group: @MVP Qiao Weiyu. Hello, Miss Qiao, our future boss.
Two minutes later, the aloof beauty known as Goddess Qiao reposted Origin Group’s post with a caption.
MVP Qiao Weiyu: @MVP Jiang Xia, the championship is yours, and so am I.

Much later, Jiang Xia stared at Qiao Weiyu’s Starlight platform ID, “Rain on the Summer Solstice,” and fell into deep thought.
Wait a minute. If she remembered right, her top supporter had the same name, Rain on the Summer Solstice?
Reader’s guide:
1. No real-life inspirations whatsoever. All place names, teams, and clubs are fictional and have no connection to real people. This is entirely made up, just a novel. Don’t take it too seriously or compare it to reality.
2. Real-world match strategies will serve as reference, combined with my own designs. Nothing will be copied wholesale.
3. An ensemble esports story, focused on plot and gradual progression. Everyone takes competition seriously. The top has a reason to go to the CEO’s office; she isn’t trying to juggle two things at once. She loves esports and will only consider taking over the family business after retiring.
