Transmigrated as the Overbearing CEO's Childhood Friend, a Dragon-Proud Protagonist

[For the follow-up bonus chapters, head over to Zero Two's Bonus Chapter Collection.]

I've started a novel about the two younger brothers: The Dragon-Prince Hero and His Scheming Childhood Friend. Blurb at the very bottom.

Blurb:

Wei Chen was born into a novel called The Runaway Bride with a Baby: Mr. Gu's Priceless Darling, as the domineering CEO's childhood friend and a genius doctor.

He dutifully played his role as his childhood friend, taking care of everything without complaint and getting bullied by the male lead ever since they were kids.

Then one day, he got caught up in a plotline from the male lead's childhood, and a System suddenly appeared in his mind.

System: Hello, Mr. Wei Chen. The plot of The Urban Son-in-Law: The Medicine King's Return has begun. The protagonist's aura has been activated for you.

Wei Chen: ???

Wei Chen: What? I'm a dragon-prince hero?

A doting top who only acts like a dragon-prince hero toward other people x a tsundere, soft, adorable CEO bottom who has only ever been tsundere toward him. 1v1, happy ending, both pure.

Reader's guide: Top's POV, with a little from the bottom's. Extreme character loyalists, stay away. The opening is rough, and the seeds planted earlier will be explained later. Please don't mock it. If it's not for you, click the X. Please don't force yourself to keep reading, and you don't need to tell me if you drop it. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Notes:

1. Childhood friends, together from childhood to adulthood, though time magic is involved. (It even rhymes.)

2. New cover. Thanks to CP: it's a teenage Wei, age 15, trying to act cool like his wife and failing.

3. No female-female side couples! Zero Two and his wife are the protagonists of another novel and won't get much page time here, so they don't really count as a side couple.

4. I read every reader comment carefully. Thanks to everyone who reads closely and points out typos or offers suggestions (not instructions). I'll revise or keep things as they are depending on the situation.

Blurb for The Dragon-Prince Hero and His Scheming Childhood Friend

Wei Jin, heir to the Medicine King, lives in an urban fantasy world.

He's exceptionally talented and a formidable fighter, with the script of a dragon-prince hero in his hands. Men and women alike flock to him and fall for him.

He should have had a thrilling life, calling the shots and shaping the world. But because of some complicated issues, his older brother sent him to the elite school attended by his childhood friend and warned him not to fall in love with Gu Zhen.

Wei Jin immediately declared, "Date my childhood friend? Not even a dog would do that!"

He didn't notice that his childhood friend, Gu Zhen, was standing right outside the door when he said it.

But after that...

The haughty Gu Zhen lowered his eyes, hiding the amusement in them and putting on a vulnerable, sickly look. On a stormy day, he lay limply in Wei Jin's arms, then murmured an apology for accidentally knocking over Wei Jin's trophy.

The bathroom pipes suddenly burst, and Gu Zhen, soaked through in his bathrobe, knocked on Wei Jin's door to borrow his bathroom and ask if he could stay over.

Wei Jin watched Gu Zhen slowly sink into this love game, convinced he was in control when in truth he was hopelessly entangled. Whenever Gu Zhen threw himself into his arms, Wei Jin would secretly smile, lower his eyes to hide his teasing, playful amusement, calmly accept the love Gu Zhen entrusted to him, and hug him back with delight.

Wei Jin: The fish has taken the bait.

Theme: When one door closes, another opens.
