Third-person narration
[No inspiration, putting this aside for now]

My name is Chu Xiangbai. I'm the eldest disciple of Taihua Mountain, and I've loved two men.
The first was my childhood friend. He fell to the demonic path, causing me to lose my immortal bones. My sect was destroyed, and my friends and mentors all died.
The second was the cultivation partner I tricked into being with me after I was reborn. His name was Su Jiansheng.
Su Jiansheng and I got married entirely by accident. At the time, I was worrying about how to deal with my rotten childhood friend and needed a capable assistant. He happened to come along.
Su Jiansheng was a simpleton with high cultivation, always gentle toward everyone. He was just like the kind of pure-hearted, moonlight-white character in a storybook who could do anything except take good care of himself.
And that was exactly how it was.
He died the day before he was supposed to fill the entire courtyard with roses for me.
He died saving someone.
How do I put it? I used to resent Su Jiansheng for being such a bleeding heart. But watching him vanish into nothing, I realized that I loved him.
It was a terrible feeling, like the wind scattering red beans and leaving the branches bare of longing.
If I could see Su Jiansheng again, I'd tell him, "I want to buy a big house and live with you. I'm a wealthy woman, and you're my pretty boy. You can't leave me. I don't actually dislike you."
Su Jiansheng was so hopelessly naive, he'd definitely blush.
What I never expected was that I really would see him again.
Thirty years after he left.

A gentle and kind eldest disciple who becomes obsessive later x A naturally absent-minded but somewhat cunning little peacock. One-on-one romance, chronological narration, the blurb is from the middle and later parts. Happy ending, everyone gets their happy ending.
1. Male rivals competing for her, with an ex-husband's hellish gauntlet of regret and a messy love-triangle showdown. The kind where they stab each other.
2. Both leads are strong and adored by everyone. Lots of original worldbuilding.
3. All kinds of weird, melodramatic tropes. So tacky it's trendy.
4. The ex-husband gets a lot of page time. All three are main characters.
Theme: The world never treats kind people unfairly
I don't know when I collected it, so I'll click on it first.
It's really well written. I really like male protagonists with this kind of personality. Jinjiang really lacks gentle male protagonists.
