His Majesty's First Love

The young emperor has a white moonlight tucked away in his heart, someone he cannot touch without getting hurt.

He guards her carefully, gazing at her longingly. He doesn't dare reveal his identity. They've been dating for five years, and he hasn't even dared to touch the young lady's hand.

After all, she's a little fairy sent down from heaven.

Female lead's version.

Su Zhenzhen pretends to be a fortune-teller and mooches off people. Using what she remembers from reading the original novel, she predicts several natural disasters. Her status keeps rising, and eventually the common people call her a living immortal.

She does everything she can to avoid the terrifying male lead. When she goes to the imperial palace to perform rituals, she stays away from the emperor's quarters. Strangely enough, even after serving as Imperial Preceptor for four years, she has never once seen the male lead.

Su Zhenzhen starts dating a boy in secret. He's shy and always looks at her with a blush. After four years of dating, Su Zhenzhen decides the time is right and kisses the boy beneath the night sky.

He pushes her away.

The boy says she's shameless.

Only later does she realize that there's a kind of romance called being in love with an imagined version of someone.

The moment the person you love doesn't match your fantasies, you push them away and take back all your feelings.

Su Zhenzhen: "...All right, then." It's just a breakup. This one's gone, and the next will be even sweeter!

A few days later, the emperor summons her to an audience. Standing in a palace hall with a pillar carved with a five-clawed golden dragon, she sees her boy wearing an expressionless face. He says coldly, "...I'll give you one chance. Let's pretend things are still the way they used to be."

Su Zhenzhen laughs in anger. "Absolutely not!"
