Liang Jingchuan (top) & Song Qingyun (bottom), age gap, with the top younger
Liang Jingchuan got married early. Other people were seventeen; he was seven.
With his front teeth missing, Liang Jingchuan bragged to everyone about his new bride: big eyes, red lips, and a pale face.
The kids at the academy were all curious. Liang Jingchuan looked like a potato, so how had he married such a beautiful bride? And even if he had, there was no way he’d ever kissed her.
The little potato, mocked and disbelieved by everyone, went straight home and cornered his child bride, who was taller than him, intending to steal a kiss.
Unfortunately, before he could get one, his new bride shoved him aside.
Song Qingyun sold himself to the Liang family as a child bride for three taels of silver to save his mother’s life.
Rumor had it that the Liang family’s Second Young Master was a troublemaker who bounced around so much even dogs found him annoying. But when Song Qingyun finally met the so-called Second Young Master, he turned out to be a silly little boy who didn’t even reach his shoulder.
And yet this silly little boy, even while getting beaten nearly to death, still remembered to put the broken pastry in his arms into Song Qingyun’s mouth.
As an adult, Liang Jingchuan stood in the Golden Throne Hall, grinning foolishly. “Wifey, let’s go home.”
Song Qingyun, now the Son of Heaven, turned red at the ears. “How dare you! Who’s your wife?”
The main story for this novel follows my previous work, I’m Building City Defenses in Ancient Times. They’re best enjoyed together, but either can be read on its own.
Ji Zhengze (a shameless, flirtatious top) & Xu Wenying (fierce to everyone else, shy with his husband, bottom)
The old village chief bought a male bride for the dying illegitimate son of the Ji family, hoping the wedding would bring him good fortune. But it didn’t help: the ugly bride had barely been in the household three days when the young master died.
After transmigrating into this world, Ji Zhengze inherited the original owner’s mountain of debts and, as a bonus, legally made the man’s wife his own.
The top, who had danced on the edge of disaster, discovered that in this world men could legally take husbands and even give birth. Could things get any better?
The ugly husband everyone talked about sat in front of a bronze mirror, frowning as he touched the scar between his brows. An arm reached around his shoulder from behind, and a voice said, “My husband, you’re so handsome.”
Lazy Ji Zhengze’s greatest pleasure in life was lounging in bed.
He watched his husband pluck feathers from a chicken. He watched him chop wood. He watched him fetch water and cook, too.
But when he saw his husband picking at the blisters on his feet, he finally couldn’t stay seated. “Go rest. I’ll do all of this!”
But his ugly husband said, “You’d better just lie down. Where would you get the strength to do all that?”
... Had he been lounging around for so long that his husband had forgotten he was a strong, grown man who could lift a mountain?
Reclaim his authority as husband! Now! Immediately!
A note from the author, written while sitting down and desperately trying to survive:
1. A sweet, slice-of-life romance. The top is an illegitimate child, but his father isn’t a scoundrel.
2. The bottom has the classic amnesia trope. There will be court politics later on.
3. There’s nothing morally questionable in this story. Some plot points may be silly; don’t doubt yourself, it’s just that the author isn’t very smart. Feel free to click away.
The tone is the same as always: a sweet little marriage-before-love story.
Theme: No matter how hard the world batters us, we keep striving forward and never forget our original intentions.
He's thirty, shouldn't he?
A good meal is like eating a fly suddenly, what a disgusting plot 💔
Gosh, I'm really disgusted by the male protagonist's life experience. The co-author is an adulterer, but it's so disgusting. Why do you have to write it like this? I'm fainting. That uncle is too miserable.
It ended so unexpectedly
"Yan" is a big thorn in the side of the author~ strict
Finally finished reading it! Great write up! It's the pot of blood in the middle that makes me look stupid!
Help, son, son, I am your father. I started singing
What about the extra story? What about the extra story? Is the baby a baby?

Hey, you're not done yet...
