Lin Jiayu met a girl in a bar. With her innocent face, she clearly didn't belong there.
Beside her was the second young master of the Gu family, a notorious playboy in the nightclub scene.
The young master had changed his type. He used to be surrounded by sexy beauties, but this time it was like a carnivore turning vegetarian.
He watched the delicate little flower struggle to hold her glass, her face flushing after just a few sips. She slumped limply into Gu Er's arms.
Before long, Gu Er's usual kind of girl arrived. Without the slightest hesitation, he left the delicate little flower where she was and headed to the dance floor to flirt.
No one dared touch the girl Gu Er had brought. She lay on the sofa, turned away, and began to sob.
She was obviously a sheltered blank slate who knew nothing of the world's cruelty, taken in by Gu Er's sweet talk.
"Jiayu, can you take her home for me?"
"Clean up your own mess."
"Help me out, and I won't compete with your company for next week's contract."
For the sake of a contract, Lin Jiayu had ended up getting himself involved. The delicate little flower clung to him every day to thank him, and wanted to share the pain of her heartbreak with him.
After three months of comforting her, her heartbreak seemed to have healed. She stopped messaging him.
Then, at the very same bar, with the very same face, she sat before a Long Island Iced Tea, drinking Depth Charges with someone else.
The well-behaved girl who always buttoned her collar to the very top whenever she met him now had a stag's antlers tattooed on her collarbone, a strip of waist on display, and crossed legs swinging back and forth.
Someone beside her asked, "Did you get Lin Jiayu?"
Yan Lu glanced at him and answered loudly, "Nope. He's too boring. I've found a new target."
Lin Jiayu curled his lip and chuckled as he went over to sit beside her. "Who's caught your eye? Gu Er isn't here today. I can play along."
Little scene:
Lin Jiayu, who held a grudge, asked, "Am I boring?"
Yan Lu, feeling refreshed, ran her fingertip over his Adam's apple and rasped, "Boring? More like secretly naughty."
