Waiting for Winter

A temperamental documentary filmmaker x a sunny, sincere young actor who wears his heart on his sleeve

After several years of struggling in the entertainment industry, Jin He finally won an award thanks to his incredible endurance and talent.

But on the day of the ceremony, he suddenly walked out.

As the trending topics kept rolling in, his manager and the big boss bombarded him with calls. "Jin He, where are you? Get back here and accept your award!"

Jin He had already left the city limits. "You can accept it for me. I'm going to the wilderness."

His manager shrieked, "Are you crazy? Are you even going to keep acting?"

Jin He replied, "Sure, if I make it back alive from the wilderness."

After hanging up, he threw away his SIM card.

When Luan Yuan got a call from Jin He, he thought it was a new kind of AI scam.

But after seeing Jin's disheveled appearance and determined eyes, he finally decided to take him along.

Luan Yuan said, "It's dangerous here. You shouldn't have come."

Jin He was stubborn. "But you've kept telling me to wait. I don't know how long I'm supposed to wait!"

Luan Yuan glanced at the scorching sun. "Until winter. I'll have time off after I finish filming this documentary."

But Jin He's eyes grew damp. "But it'll be so cold then, with everything covered in white. Luan Yuan, I don't like winter."

So Luan Yuan said he was going to have a cigarette. As the seconds and minutes passed, each one dragging on forever, Jin He desperately wished winter would come sooner after all.
