In high school, Mu Jiaojiao pursued an aloof heartthrob. Then, in their graduation year, she dumped him without a word or any explanation.

Three years later, they ran into each other again. Someone tripped Mu Jiaojiao up, and in a daze, she stumbled into her ex-boyfriend's room.

His gaze was just like it had been in high school: tender and indulgent, as if she would always be the little girl he cherished above all others. Sitting where light met shadow, he tilted his head and smiled at her. "Long time no see, Mu Jiaojiao."

Mu Jiaojiao knew she wouldn't be able to run away this time.

The next day, she came to. The man had pulled a chair up to the bed and was watching her. When he saw her wake, he said unhurriedly, "Let's get married."

Mu Jiaojiao clutched the covers and fell right out of bed in fright.

Kyoto glittered and bustled at night. Inside a luxury car, the woman's breathing was unsteady as someone grabbed her wrist and demanded, "If you don't like anyone, then who do you like? Whoever you like, I'll kill them."

Mu Jiaojiao's eyes grew moist. She answered slowly, "You believe what I say to the media? I tell you I like you every day. Why are you getting mad?"

A few notes: The heroine is a handful, and the hero indulges her. They're both adults when they fall in love.

- They broke up for a reason. It'll be explained little by little. From school to city life, a lighthearted story with no angst. Having fun is what matters most.

- The heroine is lively, and the hero loves her lively ways. They are each other's absolute favorite person in the whole world.

Jiang He first met Shen Gui in a music room at B University.

The young man stood tall and straight. Sunlight streamed through the glass windows, tracing a faint halo around him. He seemed cool and distant, yet gentle.

He was singing, his voice as if kissed by a deity. Jiang He fell for him instantly.

She went up to him and asked, "Do you like singing?"

Shen Gui didn't answer.

Jiang He raised an eyebrow and said, "Come with me. I can give you the best opportunities."

Shen Gui suddenly smiled and said, "Okay."

But Jiang He was never one to stay devoted for long. Today she liked listening to people sing, and tomorrow she might like watching people paint.

As the eldest daughter of the Jiang family, she could have anything she wanted. She turned around and promptly forgot all about him.

Six months later, the Jiang family fell into trouble, and their young lady was down on her luck. Everyone was waiting to laugh at Jiang He's misfortune.

Late at night, in pouring rain, Jiang He knocked on the door of the young master of the Shen family. Looking dejected, she begged him, "Please, Young Master Shen, find it in your heart to help the Jiang family."

Shen Gui's thin lips curved into a smile just like the one he'd given her when they first met. A wicked glint filled his eyes as he said casually, "You want me to save the Jiang family?"

Jiang He lowered her head. "Yes."

Shen Gui lifted her chin, his expression arrogant. "Come with me, and I'll help you."

Jiang He had no other choice.
