Imperial Brother

Feng Yuan Yan had never understood why all his younger royal brothers and sisters were so close to him, while Feng Qi alone hated him and often watched him from behind. That sharp gaze frightened him.

After he was deposed, everyone said Feng Qi had been behind it, and he believed them.

From then on, he was nearly assassinated and came close to losing his life. Naturally, he and Feng Qi became bitter enemies, growing further and further apart.

But when his life was truly in danger, Feng Qi was the one who shielded him from everything.

"Even if my imperial elder brother has been deposed, he is mine. No one else is allowed to lay a hand on him!"

Those shocking words rang through the entire court.

Only then did he understand that all Feng Qi's resentment and hatred came from being unable to have him.

Feng Yuan Qi had never understood why all the other dozen or so younger royal siblings were close to Feng Yuan Yan, while Feng Yuan Yan was never close to him.

He tried to win him over time and time again, but when it did not work, his goodwill was replaced by hatred, which gradually sank deep into his bones.

At last, Feng Yuan Yan was deposed. He was no longer the lofty crown prince and imperial elder brother he had once been. In the Imperial Clan Court, Feng Yuan Qi could finally break through all his distance and pride, keep him within his grasp, and torment him little by little.

But as he tormented him, he found that he could not bring himself to use his cruelest methods.

"Imperial elder brother, why bother becoming the future emperor? Why not just become my empress from now on?"

Looking at his furious, astonished face, Feng Yuan Qi chuckled.

"Even if you hate me, you can only hate me!"
