Getting What I Want

Tang Qi has been having nightmares for years.

In them, someone keeps telling her, "Even as a ghost, I won't let you go."

One day, she wakes from the dream yet again.

She tells herself, "It's okay. Don't be afraid. That person is already dead."

Until she sees that exact same face at Monday's weekly meeting.

The person smiles and silently mouths to her, "Long time no see."

This might be a short story.
