The Great Liang Dynasty's Number One Eunuch

Historical danmei. I've always wanted to start one, so here's a preview.

Bottom is a eunuch, a real eunuch! Please don't read if that bothers you.

Slow burn. Before their feelings are clear, the top is a prince with a spouse and a son, so readers who care about that should take note.

One-on-one pairing in the later story.

The Great Liang dynasty had undergone three changes of ruler. In the first year of the Tianqi reign, the emperor had a son born under an ill omen. The Imperial Astronomical Bureau declared that the boy would bring chaos to the government, plunging the realm into strife and leaving the people destitute.

Jiang Min looked at the child before him, already five years old and treated worse than any stray cat or dog in the palace, and sighed.

The feudal system was truly harmful.

Being transmigrated into the body of a eunuch who'd already been castrated was unfortunate enough. With a master like this, he could forget about having a future.

But the child was still a human life. In these imposing palace walls, simply keeping the boy alive would be difficult enough.

The five-year-old prince curled up in Jiang Min's arms, his voice soft and sweet. "Jiang Min, I'm scared."

At fifteen, the prince became crown prince. He wrapped his arms around Jiang Min's waist and threatened through gritted teeth, "Jiang Min, if you dare leave, I'll have everyone in the Crown Prince's Palace buried with you."

At twenty-five, the man had ascended the throne. He pinned Jiang Min to the dragon bed and took what he wanted without restraint.

Biting his neck, he said, "I could do without this empire."

Across three dynasties and generations, everyone said the Great Liang had run its course, rotten to the core.

But they didn't know that one year, a twelve-year-old eunuch was transferred to serve the little prince whom everyone avoided like the plague.

That was where the upheaval that would change the world began.

Later, when peace returned to the realm, rumors said the emperor doted on the eunuch by his side so much that he no longer even visited the harem.

And the most powerful eunuch in all of Great Liang had no idea that back then, he'd only meant to raise a child.

Who could have known that the child would grow into a ruler who stirred up the whole world, with a heart blackened through and through?

Theme: I love stories about eunuchs.
