When the Devoted Male Supporting Character Sees the Comments

When Bai Nanpei was young, he had a crush on his friend Mo Xiaoling, but they parted before he had the chance to confess. Years later, when they reunited, Mo Xiaoling had become Gong Bucheng's caged canary. Everyone said Mo Xiaoling was ungrateful, making a scene all the time despite living as a canary, and that he deserved to be cast aside like trash. Only Bai Nanpei still remembered how spirited he had once been. Later, when Gong Bucheng's beloved returned from abroad, Mo Xiaoling fell from a high-rise. People said he couldn't face reality, that a stand-in should have stepped aside of his own accord, and that even if he died, he deserved it. Gong Bucheng, however, acted as though he had suddenly seen the error of his ways and lost his true love, then began taking revenge on everyone in a fit of madness. As Mo Xiaoling's only friend in life, Bai Nanpei was naturally among those targeted for revenge. Bai Nanpei fought Gong Bucheng to the bitter end. Only after he died did he awaken his memories and discover that he was merely a cannon-fodder male supporting character in a melodramatic angst novel. Gong Bucheng was the chosen one, while he and Mo Xiaoling were nothing more than tools to temper the protagonist. Reborn at the crossroads of fate, Bai Nanpei decides to save himself. And save the person he loves. Then he discovers that he can see the original story and its comment section. Whenever he tries to change his fate, locked sections of the original story unlock, and the plot changes along with them. He leaves a comment saying that he has returned from the dead.
