Remembering what happened before she left the mountain for the capital:

After being reborn, Ming Jingji discovered that she was no longer disguised as a man. Her mother had sent her out of the palace, hoping to secretly switch one child for another and have a son in name only.

She was no longer a prince of the imperial family, but an ordinary farm girl living at the foot of the Hengxiu Sect's mountain.

One day, she saw Su Rouxuan coming down the mountain on a mission, only to be ambushed by her fellow disciples and left on the brink of death. Ming Jingji stepped forward and picked her up. "Miss, I've come to save you."

Su Rouxuan stared straight at her. "Then I thank you, miss."
