In his early years, Mori Ougai planned to expand into Kansai. He arranged an alliance through marriage with Osaka’s Awano Group, planning to hold a wedding in Yokohama between the daughter of the Awano Group’s leader, Awano Momo, and the head of the Port Mafia on the day she came of age.
But man proposes and heaven disposes. Mori Ougai was attacked and ended up in a coffin, becoming the former boss. His trusted subordinate, Dazai Osamu, took over as the new head of the Port Mafia without a doubt. He carried out his predecessor’s wishes and married Awano Momo as promised, ushering in a new era of expansion for the Port Mafia...
Outsiders envied the couple for treating each other with respect and working in perfect harmony. But as a pair of contract spouses bound together by mutual interests, Boss Dazai had not only to deal with external threats that hindered the organization’s growth, but also to do everything he could to stop his wife, who never followed the script, from playing up her “widow” role.
“Want to take a look at the boss’s new script?”
“No, thanks. In a reality show, not everything can be real.”
[Read this before you start]
1. Primarily Bungo Stray Dogs, with characters from multiple anime series. A medium-to-long serious story, with an ensemble cast and a plot-driven narrative. The male lead is Dazai Osamu (unrelated to the real-life author; this is an OOC derivative work featuring the anime character from Bungo Stray Dogs!). The female lead is an original character, not someone who transmigrated, and she’s holding a dangerous wife’s script.
2. This is the second story in the Little Scarf Boss series. It includes some original settings and continues from another serious, no-romance Mori Ougai story in my collection, “The Little Scarf Boss Class Is Now in Session!” My personal interpretation features heavily, but you can still enjoy this story without having read the other one.
3. There are plot holes and OOC moments. If you don’t like it, please leave. Don’t fill the comments with complaints. Please be kind.
4. The characters and story are entirely fictional. Please don’t project onto them, sympathize with them, or reenact anything in real life.
5. Good and evil are both rewarded in the end, whether you’re a protagonist or a supporting character.
Theme: Love is an improvisation that needs no script.
