[Prince of Tennis] Empire of the Wind (Pairing: Atobe and Fuji)

Xianxia setting. No angst, a marriage-before-love trope, and plenty of melodrama.

Set in the same world as Valley of the Wind, but with no connection in content, and even a different timeline. It merely borrows the worldbuilding established there, so it can be read on its own.

One-on-one romance. Everyone except Atobe and Fuji is just friends.

They really weren't the same kind of person.

Atobe considered his own elegance unmatched, while Fuji thought Atobe looked just like an arrogant golden peacock.

"You said this morning that I was a bit of a nuisance around here. I think I'll go back to Seishun-dai for a while," Fuji said calmly, his voice still utterly unruffled.

Atobe hadn't expected that he would go a whole six months without seeing Fuji after that.

Yet even after he finally went to bring Fuji back himself, their relationship remained hard to describe.

"They say the young lord of Hyotei is a dashing ladies' man. Turns out that's a lie."

Atobe grumbled to himself. It was all Oshitari's fault for not warning him about this sooner. None of the romantic classics he'd read had mentioned anything like it.

Theme: Long live love.
