Oh, I Became the Empress? (Both Babies Were Switched at Birth)

Su Lan worked herself to death in her previous life from overwork. Now that she's finally been given a chance to start over, she transmigrates to a new world and decides to live differently: she's going to lie flat completely.

She's very happy with her family in this life. Her father is a Daoist priest, and her mother is kind and gentle. Every day she breathes fresh mountain air at the Daoist temple, studies medicine in her spare time, and practices swordsmanship. It's practically a heavenly life.

She's already planned out her future. She has no interest in getting married anyway, so when she's older, she'll become a Daoist nun and inherit her father's temple.

But before she can become a nun, people from the marquis's residence show up and tell her that she's their real daughter, switched at birth?

She expected to face the clichéd drama of a real and fake heiress after returning to the marquis's residence. Instead, her family treats her well, and even the sister who was switched with her looks after her.

So Su Lan happily moves to a new place and keeps lying flat.

But after only a few carefree days, the emperor decrees that she must marry a fool.

Su Lan sees her adopted elder sister willing to take her place, her father fighting the decree to the death, and her mother pleading everywhere on her behalf. She decides, fine, she'll get married.

She has a huge dowry and plenty of skills. She can live well wherever she goes.

Besides, the heir to the Duke's residence may be a fool, but he's handsome!

She can just keep him at home like a beautiful ornament to admire. That sounds nice enough.

But to her utter surprise, in less than three years, that ornament is no longer a fool. He's become the crown prince of the dynasty...

And later, when Su Lan stands beside the emperor in her empress's robes and phoenix crown, she still finds it hard to believe.

Ah, I'm just a lazy fish. How did I become empress?

On the night of his accession, Xiao Xuan massages Su Lan's sore neck, aching from the weight of her phoenix crown, then kisses her earlobe and chuckles in her ear. "My dear, now you can finally lie flat for good."

P.S. 1. Both were switched at birth: [The easygoing, clever real heiress] × [The scheming, calculating real crown prince]

2. Everyone in both families is a good person. They all get along, with no family feuds.

Theme: Fate has its own plans.
