I Was Raised in Captivity After Becoming a Mutant Insect [Insectoid]

Synopsis:

This story takes place during the reform period after Gu Lian and Xiu liberated the Zerg. The sub-Zerg and Zerg merge, and the third generation of Zerg is born. How to deal with mutant Zerg has become a major problem. Although the Empire maintains that mutant Zerg are innocent and advocates actively treating them, the Zerg still detest mutant Zerg.

The gong transmigrates into a low-level mutant Zerg who has just escaped from a laboratory and is being hunted by Zerg civilians. On the verge of death, he is rescued by a female Zerg. Her feelings toward him are complicated: her own kin were brutally killed before her eyes by mutant Zerg, but as a military female Zerg, she chooses to save the gong, who is a mutant Zerg. From then on, she spends every day wondering whether to kill him as she keeps him confined (?).

In an era when everyone despises mutant Zerg, the gong, who “lives off his partner,” wins the Zerg over with his abilities and becomes key to saving mutant Zerg. He turns around the situation in which mutant Zerg have no rights, rises to prominence, and gets a happy ending with the female Zerg.

1. This isn't a blurb. The author is terrible at writing blurbs. This is a synopsis.

2. Personal worldbuilding, derived from the setting of Gu Lian's book. Readers who have read it will know.

3. Low-level mutant Zerg have no intelligence, cannot speak, and have a carnivorous urge to eat their own kind, like zombies. The gong retains his self-awareness and overcomes his biological instincts. Essentially, he's a high-level mutant Zerg and can speak later on.

4. The synopsis won't change. Character details and such will be added later. (Basically, zombies in a Zerg setting.)

Theme: Spread positive energy.
