A small silver spacecraft drifted slowly through the vast sea of stars. A flight malfunction forced it to make an emergency landing on a planet with signs of life. From then on, the group began a legendary journey, but not her. They made their mark on the world and became renowned for generations, exemplary transmigrators in life and a source of pride to their homeworld even in death. She, on the other hand, blended into the crowd and lived an ordinary life. By day (?) she worked for the city management office, registering residents and striding through every street and alley. At night, she drank tea, read books, played with children, and told stories: familiar, yet somehow strange. Since more than two-thirds of this story takes place at night, it could also be called a dark novel... A few friendly notes: 1. This story mixes together various settings. Specific references will be explained in the text. 2. The author has a habit of revising. I’m currently filling in the bonus chapters, not pretending to update. I’ve seen your comments and feel terrible for keeping you waiting, my lovely readers. Some of the bonus chapters were meant for a personal collection that was indefinitely postponed, and I hadn’t finished writing them all. I’ll gradually post them here over the next little while.
